Foyt Undergoes Surgery in Houston

Auto racing legend A.J. Foyt spent the past weekend in Houston's Memorial Hermann Hospital to have doctors remove the surgical steel hardware installed in his leg nearly 10 years ago. Foyt had sustained a badly broken left leg in a horrific accident in an Indycar race at Elkhart Lake, Wis. Doctors removed a plate, two bars and over two dozen screws on Saturday, Foyt said.
